A Bright Idea for Windows

At my house, we’ve always loved the charm of having candle lights in the windows. But until now, we’ve had to accept the ugly wires dangling from the window sill. Luckily, I discovered Window Candles (made right here in Maryland), which give you all the benefits of electric candle lights without the wires. Even better is the fact that you can turn them on and off with the press of a single button. Next time you build or remodel ask about having Window Candles installed. We just remodeled our house and added 35 Window Candles around the house. I can’t wait for the holidays to come!

Acoustic Innovations

We recently installed a new Acoustic Innovations theater in our Columbia showroom. Everyone who goes into the theater comments about the sound quality. The funny thing is, while we’re using B&W speakers in the system, they’re the entry level models, not the top-of-the-line models. The secret is that the room is acoustically treated. What a difference that makes. The easiest way to improve your sound system is to acoustically treat your room.  Stop by either showroom for a demonstration of how good speakers can become great by using acoustic treatment.

The Best Flat TV Ever? Pioneer Elite Kuro PRO-110FD

We sell countless flat TVs at Gramophone. After all, we were the first store to debut flat TV in the state of Maryland, so we know a thing or two about judging them. We’ve always been fans of Pioneer Elite; they truly have the most stunning picture when you do a side-by-side comparison. And now that they’ve just released the new Kuro flat TV, we have to agree with Home Theater Magazine, who called this the “Greatest Flat Panel Ever”. Of course it’s got the latest in full 1080p HDTV technology, but what really makes the Kuro a show-stopper is the picture. It has the blackest blacks you’ve ever seen and the contrast of colors and detail is eye-popping. We’ve got the Kuro on display at Gramophone where you can come see it for yourself.
